FEARLESS

In the valley of fears, One dares not to bring fears. But, who cares? Whether the fears bring bears or tears, Though one needs not to be careless. Silently, disturbed you are, When no one cares for who you are. Either a sojourner or a ruler, Shouldn't kill the aims of a courage carrier. Faith and determination convey the spirit of a fearless believer. On water and air, you walk! On lands and valleys, you talk! Your deeds? No one dares to calk, Even when it seems like a chalk. Altogether, you inhale phobias. Even when tempted with beers or pears, You still make your own bears. In the midst of the feared, you emerge fearless. ©TheLucky www.wapniyi.blogspot.com @ganiyuayanniyi

LET IT RAIN

Image
Inattentively, it rains! Father, can I play in the rain? Oh, child! It rains only to the dead Fear only if you wish not to be dead Papa, let it rain on me Please, let it rain! Happily, the child wets in the rain water Oh yeh! Papa, the rain water is my porter Father, why does it rain all time we’re together? Oh, son! It is a sign for us to gather together Gather our loves, towards one Papa, let it rain on me Please, let it rain! When it rains on the right minds; It rains to their soul It brings them unexpected comforts The heaven is clearly open for their favour Open to bring them peace Open to welcome their contented wishes     But, to the wrong ones; It rains to their covered bowl It brings them unexpected ort Their heaven changes to oven Oven, to burn all of theirs to a piece Oven, to burn away their untrustworthy witches Father, let it rain Let the rain wash me Let it be as when it rains, there is no...

BELIEVING IS PRACTICING

By Ganiyu Ayanniyi Mubaraq With all due respects, I greet all believers with this revolution piece of writing. It has come to my notice since that many believers still practice what they believe no more, but, I just gained the privilege to take it to writing so as to express my view. As a popular Yoruba proverb says “A kìí ka ilé òrìşà kún ìlú”. One can imagine how diverse the Yoruba tribe is. As well, one can connote that the tribe believes that human beings are different from deities or idols. Basically, here I justify too that believing in one religious conception is also practicing it. Extensively, let me take some Yorubas as example (I’m also included), they believe in some old religious myths which are always outside their belief of either Christianity or Islam. Most of the stories are usually transferred from parents to offspring. Some of these stories might be fabricated either through real scenes or through scenes of baseless roots or maybe to create fears into m...

CHANCE OR DESTINY ?

"But circumstances change. Small causes lead to large effects. New paths are added. And all anyone can do . . . is choose."  -- Kelseyleigh Reber Sometimes I do wonder whether being in this world is by Chance or Destiny. Also, I do wonder whether one's activities were destined or were just by chance. Does Chance exist ? This question was geared to me and a friend of mine by some arguing neighbours. Suddenly, my friend answered and said; "Yes, It exists", not longer, a guy disagreed, he replied to my friend's view, "Why ?" furiously he asked, and he moved ahead to ask; "Does it mean there is no destiny? Because destiny is something meant to occur". I was somehow confused to give my words for the question, but, after some time I went ahead to say; "There is no Chance! If there is chance, then, there is no destiny; for destiny is a thing meant to happen" Now, my friend said; "It means if someone steals, it's his...
