The first category of elective courses (Compulsory elective) requires that, you must register and pass them, without which you can not be called a graduate until u passed them. But meanwhile, they do not affect your grade points (gp) To the best of my knowledge, they are two 1) SER 001 Use of English (2 units ×two semesters) and 2) LIB 001 Use of Library (0 unit × two semesters) and others in the department are called *restricted electives* might be  FRN 101&102, PRT 101 & 102, GMN 101 & 102. Note; you can't pick restricted elective from your course of study. Only French non beginners students can pick restricted elective (introduction to second language) in while in part 1 & 2. French beginners, Portuguese, German students do their restricted elective (introduction to second language) in while in part 1 and 4 Introduction to second language change to PRT105 & 106 or GMN 105 & 106  for part 2 French non beginners students while for ...
