Minister orders suspension of FUTA’s VC, Registrar
Adamu Adamu, Minister of Education The minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, yesterday ordered the immediate suspension of the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Akure, Prof. Adebiyi Dramola. Also suspended was the university’s Registrar, Dr. Modupe Ajayi.The Chairman of the university’s Joint Action Committee (JAC) and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Dele Durojaiye confirmed the suspension. Earlier, the vice chancellor and the bursar, Emmanuel Oresegun had been taken to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged mismanagement of the institution’s funds.
